May 1997:
sees the release of I Would Fix You, maybe their best single so far, maybe their worst. Its different
because:
1: it doesn't sound like any single they've done before, but sounds like the sadder tracks on At The Club,
only a bit more grown up. Slightly more dignified?
2: Its softer, acoustic, etc. Which is a slight change from Punka for the average record buying public
*who've only heard about 2 Kenickie songs anyway. Fools*
Everyone finds out the bad stuff thats been going on since the last album, and how it resulted in the new album. 2nd single is Stay In The Sun, a bit too Saint Etienne for some people, but its very good and very Kenickie, unlike anything else they've ever done, but they've done it well...
oh so cliched this. Anyway...
the story continues, will we say?
